Urban Decay first sketch dump

Kicking around a story. Working title is Urban Decay, but the more I brainstorm and flesh out plot ideas the less that title works. This is associated with the landscape of the same name a few posts down.

These guys don't have names yet for the most part. There is a new species of hominid emerging. They're sort of genderless, rather vicious, don't pick up human language, and are considered mindless flesh-eaters, but how mindless is a big story point. All these characters are somewhat mutated, except for the sorry looking Gollum-esque character who is entirely of the second species. The top two are the main characters, they are brother and sister. The pretty lady is a heavily mutated human who works as a fashion model. My favorite so far is the tea shop owner. He appears physically to be entirely of the 'new species, but he is about as gentle a soul as could ever be. He's a vegetarian too. The sorry looking one is an old injured 'thing' (not sure what to call the new species yet) that the tea shop own takes in a tries to 'tame'.


At the moment I'm considering working in a 'graphic light novel' format. Like a picture book sort of. This ain't for kiddies though. The story I'm envisioning so far are would get a pretty solid R rating I think. I don't know. Still early, and only time will tell if I abandon this like almost every other personal project of mine, but so far I'm pretty consumed and inspired in a way I haven't been in a long time. I'm not getting any younger. It's about time I tried to create a publish something of my own.
